The aim of the game is to reach the last square by rolling the dice. If you land on a ladder you get to climb up; if you land on a snake you slide down to its tail. Exclusively in this app, there is an option to reverse the snake and ladder behaviour; in addition, a magic potion option offers you a single lifeline during the game, when you are about to slide down.
The improvements in gameplay over a typical snake/ladder board game include:
1) Customizable gameplay that allows you to play a normal Snakes and Ladders game, or flip the snakes and ladders upside-down for the entire duration of a game (a snake makes you go up, ladder goes down), OR flip the snakes and ladders at unexpected times during a game!
2) A strategy option to use a magic potion any time during the game to prevent you from falling down a snake or a flipped ladder!
3) Each player has their own die to roll (on their side of the board), to prevent accidental rolling of an opponents die.
4) Each piece on the board has an arrow icon pointing to direction of travel, which especially helps kids track their movement.
5) Fun sound effects and music

This was a fun game to play with my daughter. We especially enjoyed the new twist to the game, made it a lot more exciting!
Snakes and ladders is a fun game for all ages!! Have loved this game since I was a child, and have played with my nephew. Will always be one of my favs!
Some bad moments
Every time the computer rolls, it gets exactly what it needs. It never goes down snakes, hits almost EVERY ladder, and gets the exact number it needs to hit the last square EVERY time. Would be a good game if it wasnt so unfair.
Some of the Graphics could use some work but this is a fun game that plays well. Like how it gives u one potion to avoid going down the snake.
It remind me my childhood as that is my favourite app of that time and happy to see the game on my iPhone.
The game runs quickly, but the music was a little annoying. I just switched it off and continued to play.
This was not a good app at all the graphics were bad but also player 1 always seems to win because you would always roll a 6 so you would keep rolling! So I recommend not getting this app!!
If you play against computer u always end on the bottom and the computer on top. Played 6 times against computer. And a few times I was close to wining but computer sent me to beginning again. And always gets advantage with the numbers like a lot of 6 to roll again when the max number for me was 5.
